Classically trained from the age of 4yrs after listening to Elton John’s ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ album, Amy Balcomb is a full time piano teacher and media composer. Born and residing in the UK, Amy has studied with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and recently graduated from The Open College of the Arts with a BA in Creative Arts, majoring in Music Composition and Creative Writing. Composing began at the age of five and Amy’s writing styles are diverse, atmospheric and programmatic. She is efficient and astute at capturing the written brief in music and is always keen to explore new avenues with her clients. Amy has her own private teaching studio in the heart of Somerset, the land of cheddar cheese and cider making, and her students range in age and ability. She is a proud member of both PRS and MCPS.
